World of Warcraft
Thrall's Balls! This is some old content that's been updated to fix links (and add commentary). Enjoy with caution. Follow links with extreme caution; who knows when they'll break again.
Your Mother proudly fights for the Horde. Originating on Vek'nilash, the guild expanded on Durotan during Mists of Panderia. In anticipation of Warlords of Draenor, the "great migration" saw the transfer of many Vek chracters.
Towards the end of MoP, mutual friends introduced Your Mother to the Shadowblades. We've been raiding together ever since. Our guilds are currently working on completing Hellfire Citadel. (When was this written!? Shadowblades has almost completed Heroic Liberation of Undermine!)
Outside of raiding, the guild is currently rather inactive, choosing to explore other endeavors before Legion arrives. (Spoiler: They did, we fought back, and left before that sword showed up. You know the one).
Addons
Yep, a second warning. Mod maintainers have come and gone faster than our members. But like them, some projects have returned. We'll try to keep this relevant, but admit some of these are still listed for nostalgia.
Most of us use Curse Client CurseForge to manage our addons. We're just going to skip past all of that Overwolf drama. Here are some of the top ones we use(d). They're listed in alphabetical order because no one can agree on a ranking.
Still Relevant(?)
- ALL THE THINGS - (De)Motivation assistant for deciding what to run so you can complain X didn't drop after 300 attempts and counting.
- Altoholic - In my day, you had to mail heirlooms. Even with a Warband bank, I still can't find things.
- LiteMount - Once it clicks, it's super powerful for creating random mount lists for each of your characters.
- Oribos Exchange - Price Check!
- Recount - Know how bad you did last fight. For learning purposes. No shaming.
- TomTom - We all love/hate coordinate lists. Don't forget about
/ttpaste
!
These take me back...
- AtlasLoot Enhanced - Know what to hope your raid boss drops (but you know it won't).
- Auctioneer - Before the
Undermine Journal Oribos Exchange, scanning was important.
- Bartender4 - Put your buttons where you like.
- Deadly Boss Mods - All of them. Required for all dungeons/raids. (Until Ion bans them anyway...)
- ElvUI - Sleek UI replacement, but not for the faint of heart. (Fun fact: I actually had dev access for a while but their maintainers we much better than I)
- GatherMate2 - So. Much. Herbalism.
- Grid - Know who to heal / cleanse.
- Master Plan - Garrisons are annoying enough.
- _NPCScan - Helps you find the corpse of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake.
- Pets and Mounts - Show off your collection with random summons. It was my favorite for a long time.
- Pitbull Unit Frames 4.0 - Choose what info you see about party.
- Postal - More mail, fewer clicks. It's nice to see what Blizzard built into the core mail UI.
- Quartz - MOAR DOTS!
- Rarity - Keep track of how many times you've killed Kael'thas without getting your phoenix.
- SexyMap - Boring circles don't fit my UI layout.
- TidyPlates - What, when and why that mobs casting on you.
- The Undermine Journal - Manage your wealth better than Gallywix. (This very old bad joke aged perfectly.)
- WeakAuras 2 - What proc'd? What should I cast? (We're all using the official Cooldown Manager now, right?)
